Materials we use & how to care for them

Solid Gold:

La crème de la crème! The best of the best. A precious metal and a true heirloom that will forever hold its value. We use 100% recycled 10k and 14k gold.

Solid Gold Care:

With little to no maintenance, your gold jewelry will stay bright and golden for a lifetime. Water-friendly, showering with your jewelry can keep it shining bright as long as you use mild soaps. Avoid using lotions near your jewelry as the lotions can be difficult to clean out of chain. After a day in the salty sea, clean jewelry with mild soap & water, and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Occasional polishing with a polishing cloth will brighten your jewelry to its original shine. 

14k Gold-filled: 

Gold-filled is the closet alternative to solid gold at a fraction of the cost. A thick layer of hold is bonded to a core of jewelers brass. Unlike plated jewelry, gold-filled jewelry and will not de-laminate or peel. Nor does it tarnish as readily as silver. It is high quality, durable, tarnish-resistant, nickel-free, and hypoallergenic.  Our gold filled materials are manufactured in the USA.

Gold plated over sterling silver. Nickel-free and hypoallergenic.

Sterling Silver: 

Precious metal containing 92.5% sterling silver. Nickel-free and hypoallergenic.

Brass:

An alloy of copper and zinc. Brass is affordable, durable and easy to clean. Its golden color makes it an affordable alternative to gold. 

Brass Care:

Remove before swimming, showering, and when applying lotions or perfumes to avoid tarnishing. For best care after wear, wipe jewelry with a soft cloth and store in an airtight bag. Avoid storing in humid locations like the bathroom. Polishing your brass jewelry with a polishing cloth will help restore it to its original shine. 

Beaded Wrap Care:

Remove before swimming, especially in salt water, and when showering to avoid eroding the elastic and fading the bead colors. Roll on wrist, or ankle to avoid over stretching.
